DSHS Approved Community Health Worker (CHW) Certification Training

Pam’s Kids Training Institute offers a 180 hours DSHS-approved Community Health Worker (CHW) curriculum designed to meet Texas training requirements and support statewide recognition as a Certified Community Health Worker (CHW). This program prepares learners to serve communities with professionalism, confidence, and credibility while meeting the expectations of healthcare systems, managed care organizations, and community-based programs across Texas.

Our CHW Certification Training is a structured, competency-based program aligned with the standards set by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The curriculum is built to ensure learners:

Training Format & Options

We designed this program to work for learners balancing work, family, and life responsibilities. Learners who successfully complete all program requirements receive a certificate of CHW training completion and become eligible for Certification through DSHS.
